Summer ready!

Hey, how ya doin'?! So this weeks blog is slightly different. I thought I would change it up a little so instead of doing a beauty one, this weeks is more of health one. 
Seen as though summer is practically round the corner and a lot of use are probably going on holiday very soon I thought I would tell use a little bit about what I'm doing to try and get my body bikini ready! 

All through June I have been doing my best to eat as healthy as I could. I haven't ate a bar of chocolate or a pack of crisps all month.. Wow! At first it was hard because you sort of forget and go to the fridge but then you remember and have to tell yourself no but after a week or so I'd forgot all about it and instead of going for chocolate I was opening the fridge to get fruit or a yoghurt, anything that was a lot more healthy. I also cut out the toast with Nutella or the croissants and instead have been having either weetabix with banana or a new option, granola with strawberries and yoghurt. I've noticed also that eating a nice healthy breakfast has been making me feel more ready and awake of a morning and I haven't been snacking in between breakfast and lunch because its been filling me more. 

I've also been making sure I work out every night even if it is just for half an hour it still makes a different. As I don't really have time to go the gym, instead I have been watching various youtube videos on exercise which has been fun. Some nights I've been doing full body cardios to begin but others I have been doing dance workouts like Zumba and not only are these really good for burning fat, you don't need any equipment and you can do them any time in the comfort of your own house. After doing cardio to begin I have then been doing Pop Pilates beginners full body workout. I have watched and tried a few of the Pop Pilate videos but they've always been a bit too hard for me so when I found the beginners one it was great. She goes through every step with you and doesn't go too quickly however you still can feel the burn in your muscles as you workout. Then to finish I have been doing a few crunches and reverse crunches before stretching to finish off. 

I know that healthy eating and workouts can be boring, I've never really been good at doing anything like this however I've found this quite easy and also fun for once. It's not hardcore dieting, it's just cutting out all the fatty and sugary foods and replacing them with healthier options and also doing just an hour or so of working out in your own home at your own pace and not having to worry about anybody seeing you or judging you. 

Another tip is to have some inspiration or something to look forward to that will make you more determined. If your going on holiday, just think. Do you want to be confident in a bikini and not I worry about anyone or anything? Or if your not going on holiday you still may want to feel more confident! You could also find an image of a body that you would really like. It doesn't have to be a skinny little model. Make it something achievable! For instance, on my wall I have a few pictures of Jesy Nelson form Little Mix and Marilyn Monroe because they may not be tiny size 0 models but they still have amazing figures that are achievable and look gorgeous! Don't forget, you can still have days when you may have a little off moment and have a chocolate bar. You don't have to completely cut them out just have them in a small quantity. It's the same for any food really. As long as you eat it in the right proportion then it won't do any harm!!

Come&Get It Makeup!!

Hey, how ya doin?! Sorry about not uploading last week but I was really busy and I didn't end up having time to write a blog for you guys! So, this week I decided to do another makeup look but this time it is a celebrity inspired look.. If use haven't guessed from the title, this weeks post is a Selena Gomez, Come & Get It, inspired look again using the Urban Decay palette. Before I start I also just want to say, there are two pictures for the same step.. This is because the light in my room isn't great so I took one in my room and one in the loving room to show it in the natural light.. That's why they look quite different and the one in the living room may look darker.. It's just because of the way the light was outside! 

So to begin I used my favourite foundation Rimmel perfect match in the shade I always use, True ivory.i applied this using my buffing brush and beginning in the centre of my face and working outwards. 
Then I used my gosh, eyebrow kit and filled in my eyebrows. Selena eyebrows are a different shape to mine so I just tried to keep them dark and round the same size because I didn't want to conceal them out and completely redraw them on. Although, if you wanted to achieve the exact Selena look then you could!
Instead of finishing my face makeup I went straight onto my eyes incase any eyeshadow dropped onto my skin and then I'd have to do it again anyway. 
So firstly I used primed my eyes using the urban decay primer potion so that I had a good base and so the makeup didn't crease!
Then I used smog across the whole lid as a coloured base because in the video it looks like Selena has a golden shimmer in the beginning corner and smog looks like the perfect colour! I used the karma shadow brush to apply it and pressed it straight onto the eyes instead of dragging it as the tends to make the eyeshadow drop more. I applied it roughly at first and then using a fluffy brush I blended the edges so it was softer too

Next, on the the other side of the karma shadow brush i took creep and applied this to the outer corner then winged it out slightly and blended using the fluffy brush. I kept building this up because in the video Selena has a dark black colour winged out. After each layer I blended so it was more gradual and not just a straight block from one colour to the other, especially as there's a big difference between a shimmer gold and a dark black.

After all this I took mac black track gel eyeliner on a small angled brush and applied a thin line along my lash line. Then I winged it out following the black winger out eyeshadow and made it a little thicker. Selena's lash line is very defined in the video and you can see that something is winged out. She may of used a liner or shadow but I found that the gel liner looked most like it and is easier to wing out then using a pencil and. The shadow also didn't look defined enough so I'd say use gel liner unless you want it less defined!

Selena also has liner all the way around her eye so I used my benefit bad gal eyeliner along my upper and bottom water line and slightly under the bottom waterline then smudged it in so it wasn't too harsh along the bottom and coated my eyelashes in maybelline the falsies mascara so they looked full and long.
Then I went back to finishing the skin. Selena's skin is flawless so I used benefit Boi-ing to conceal under the eyes and any other places where my skin was a little red like around the nose and just on my chin. Her skin is also very bronzed all over and she doesn't have a blusher on at all so I used soap & glory bronzer to contour and then with what was left on the brush I took it all over the rest of my face to give it a nice golden, bronzed look! I didn't bother to powder my face because in the video Selenas skin is flawless but still dewy so there was no point powdering as it would ruin the dewy look.
In the video, she has a bright red lip but because I was only going out to my nans I didn't feel daring enough to put this on. However, if you was going on a night out and wanted to use this look then any orange toned red would look perfect. Instead I used a light pink gloss to finish off the whole look!!

May Favourites!!

Hey, how ya doin?! I thought it would be good to do something a little different for this post. It was going to be a product review but i might do that next week. Instead I've decided to do a Favourites blog.. So this is my May Favourites!

I LOVE the over sized denim jacket style so much! They just look gorgeous with anything.. Definitely a must have this year!!

Also been loving dungarees at the moment too! 

And finally, been loving Perries style this month! I love how sometimes it's really girly and she wears pretty dresses then other times she wears simple clothes with a more grungy look!
